Fiber laser cutting: some materials cannot be laser cut

Anyone with some knowledge of fiber laser cutting should know that it has a very wide range of applications and cuts very well. However, fiber laser cutters are not all materials that can be cut. Some materials are harmful to fiber laser cutters and therefore cannot be cut with fiber laser cutters.
Although a fiber laser cutter has many great features, it is not indestructible. There are still many materials that cannot be cut. So, which materials can be cut with a fiber laser cutting machine, and which materials can't be cut?
First of all, we need to figure out that the fiber laser cutting machine belongs to the category of metal cutting machine, so the usual reason is that the wavelength range of the fiber laser cutting machine is not in this range. type of material, or not suitable for absorption. The ideal category cannot be achieved.
Second, fiber laser cutting machines cannot cut MDF. Fiber laser cutting machine belongs to heat treatment. Cutting MDF will result in burning, which will burn the cutting edge and fail to meet cutting requirements. Such materials are mainly fiberboards, wood fibers, plant fibers and some raw materials for wood-based panels made of urea-formaldehyde resins and binders. These types of materials fall into the category of MDF and cannot currently be processed by fiber laser cutters.
Third, there are some highly reflective materials, such as copper and other metallic materials. Although this type of material can be cut by a fiber laser cutter, the wavelengths of these materials are not in the ideal absorption range for these materials. The reflected part of the energy will burn out the protective mirror, which also requires attention.
