Overview of the Sheet Metal Fabrication Process

Machining data for digital stamping, laser cutting machines, stamping compound machines, digital bending machines, etc. are also provided.
The general process of sheet metal processing is as follows: (1) Blanking / blanking, cold-rolled sheet, galvanized sheet, aluminum sheet, and copper sheet are suitable for shearing or digital stamping processing, and stainless steel materials are generally laser-cut. CNC bending and forming; (3) Fixtures, including countersunk, tapping, reaming, drilling and flanges, rivets and other processes; parts assembly welding; welding, grinding and correction treatment; surface treatment, including electroplating, oxidation, drawing Handling, etc.; spray handling (including powder and fuel injection); silk screen printing and assembly process; final inspection FQC. The sequence of this process depends on how many products there are, both before and after.
Generally speaking, the quality of sheet metal should not only be strictly required in the production process, but also pay attention to the protection between processes, and also require quality inspection independent of production. In the past, people's experience and simple tool inspection have gradually introduced various instruments and auxiliary equipment such as sheet metal inspection equipment. First, strictly control the size according to the drawings, secondly, strictly control the appearance quality, and perform rehydration treatment or scrap treatment for the places with inconsistent dimensions, appearance scratches can be found according to errors and defects. errors, etc. (e.g. water flush or laser programming errors, mold usage errors, etc.).
It can be seen that it is not easy to make a good product. Due to the large number of processes, there are few factories that can cover many processes. The production of most sheet metal processing factories only includes some processes. For example, the job-shop of laser haha has only welding, electroplating or painting processing factories, and some other stamping factories are also engaged in In the sheet metal processing business, these problems lead to difficulties in quality management between processes, and it is difficult to control the overall quality.
The entry barrier of the sheet metal industry is low, the enterprises are mixed, and the vicious competition is serious. The sheet metal industry lacks vocational education and professional education, the technical level of the industry is uneven, the apprenticeship system is insufficient, and the process technology and experience cannot be further inherited. The lack of price standards in the industry is not conducive to initial business quotations, and price competition has become a single means of competition. Due to the lack of inspection standards and specifications, it is very passive in late delivery. Because of the above chaos, the sheet metal processing industry is in trouble step by step, and it has to seek survival in the cracks of all walks of life.
